Is there a locally-owned yarn shop in Worcester, or do I have to go to Jo-Ann's?

Er, *waves to purly*

I've heard there's a place called Knitter's Paradise, but I've never been.

I believe Knitters Paradise went out of business recently.

1) there is one called the Sheep Shack (holden i think)
2) The Fiber Loft is a good store in Harvard. a pretty quick drive up 495.
3) There is also a nice store just over the grafton border. i forget the name, i think its called Classic Yarns of Grafton or something. practically in worcester.

After WPI pays me for August, think I need to organize an expedition.

You should go to Webs in Noho! It's warehouse sized and they have EVERYTHING.

Are you looking for "fancy" yarn that was spun right off of a llama or just regular-old yarn to get started with? For "regular-old" yarn, I like A.C. Moore. They're usually cheaper than Michael's and they are open late and have a moonlight sale the first Sunday of each month.
